Judith Afuh Fongang began her nursing career in Lincoln, Nebraska, and later moved to Atlanta, Georgia.

For over 20 years, our mother served as a nurse in some of the most challenging environments — the ICU, mental health facilities, prisons, and home health care — bringing not just her skill but her heart to every patient she met, praying with them and loving them, known or unknown to her. Her faith was never quiet. She wore her Christian apparel proudly to spark conversations about Jesus, kept Sundays sacred, and made time each week for prayer, worship, and Scripture. That faith didn't stay contained to her either — she slowly led her own children into a walk with Christ, a legacy that still grows in us today. For over four years, she fought leukemia with the same strength and grace she gave everyone else. Losing her is one of the hardest things our family has faced, but we find comfort knowing she is no longer suffering and is now home with the Lord.
